New York Rt3 from Watertown to Saranac Lake

We?re looking at pulling our 30? TT from Watertown to Saranac Lake, then on down to Lake Placid via NY Rt 3 and 73. I?m hoping some members that have made that trip can provide some insight or good-to-know info on that route. Thanks in advance for your help!

Well, we pulled it today without any issues so I guess I?ll answer my own question in case any other flat-land tourist types are considering it. It?s two lane all the way with some hills and curves, but certainly doable. There are plenty of pull offs along the route so if you start to get traffic stacking up behind you it?s easy to get over and let them pass before one of them tries to pass you when he shouldn?t. A number of small towns along the way with sudden drops in the speed limit.
