Newbie and generators

We will be traveling soon and just need to stay overnight in a Walmart parking lot!  We have a generator but I worry that it will be too loud!  Also do not want it stolen!  What should we do?  We are very new at this rv/camping thing!

Sounds like it is a portable unit. Noise in a wal-martlot is not something I would worry too much about unless it is a contractor type unit. If that is the case, make sure that you are away from any other "campers"

As far as security, chain it to your hitch.

I wouldn't bother with it overnighting at a Wal-Mart....just run off battery power and conserve.  I can almost guarantee your gennie will walk away in the middle of the night.
