Does anybody know the part number for the on/off electrical switch for a suburban water heater model sw6de? I ordered one on Amazon that they said would fit but it doesn't. thanks

This is most likely the switch. This website will also have the service manual. Download it and it should confirm the part number.

That switch is a known failure point. One of the reasons I never turn it off. Instead I always flipped the breaker.
