I purchased a used rv with 1080 watts of solar panels on the roof, A midnite classic 150 solar controller hooked up to 4 12v valiant lithium batteries. Was wondering if it is okay to keep the solar panel breaker on while doing an extended hook up to shore power.

Hi, welcome to The RV Forum! It should be fine to leave the solar breaker on when you're hooked up to shore power. You can combine DC sources (the converter and the solar) without problems, the one with higher voltage will just make the other one dial back it's contribution.

AC power is where you can only connect one source at a time.
