Hello everyone! New to RV stuff in general and now an RV owner! I have a 2002 Coachmen Aurora that was lived in for a year and now seeing the things it needs done. General YouTube and research with some AI assistance is helpful but I've learned these things aren't as easily re-searchable as I originally thought lol I'll update my progress over time but hopefully can help others and maybe some of y'all can connect some dots I've not be able to find too!

I'm somewhat mechanically inclined and can work on vehicles but as you all know these are a whole different ball game. My goal is to slowly get away from the onboard generator [onan hgjab-901a kicking a code 32] that doesn't run with a solar system. Right now, using a 6800 watt Genrac storm generator to use the ACs when needed. I'll actually post help threads on things but thought I'd share initial things.

Pictures included, don't mind the mess! Just got it and working on it while staying in it!

Hi and welcome. Looks like a good project. Ask what you need and hopefully we can help!

Again, welcome. Please feel free to ask any questions no matter how small it may seem to you. No question is a dumb question. If you don’t have an answer, it’s not dumb to ask.
All we ask is that you start a new post for each question. It makes it easier to reply and it’s not so confusing.
Also if you want to, create a signature of yourself telling us a little bit about you and your rv

Welcome to the forum from WI. Helpful folks and is a trove of information in older posts and resources.

We bought a class C in 2023, we never considered a class A because I have weird hangups about the lack of escape doors for drivers cab. Our class C has that, but I see your driver side has a door, which is very nice in my book! I like the kitchen very much. I saw the bathroom and thought wet floor. We replaced the shower and installed this shower door: Nautilus Shower Door - Stoett Shop

I can’t describe how nice this shower door is. It’s great!

How we had to change our shower is documented here if you’re curious:

Welcome to the group! People here are knowledgeable and generous with their knowledge.

Looks like a nice rig. You WILL become the resident expert on fixing your house on wheels.

You will find better advice here than some AI programmed by someone who can't find the working end of a screwdriver.

I see that everyday there's a project and you have officially became my favorite person here because of the AI comment. Thank you for the welcome and I hope I can repay the helpfulness of this community once I get some experience working on this perpetual project!

Thank you for the welcome and I hope I don't flood you all in questions! I'll get that signature setup as soon as I figure it out. Thank you for the advice and will separate my questions in the right boards the best I can!
