I am a test drive away from finalizing my first RV purchase after studying different options, from trailers, Class C and Class A since October 2011. What I have found locally, is an RV that was hardly used the majority of time. The current seller bought the RV in 2011 with only 4,000 miles on it, he has put on 2,343 driving it during the months of April 1 - Nov1 in Indiana....he winterizes it and it sits for the winter, with regular idle starts and generator starts. He is getting out of the racing business and has priced it low for a quick sell to help pay for his 2nd home down south.

I inspected every inch of it today alone at his request, as they drive back from Florida. The total package looked as good as the pictures he sent me. Only repair I can see is Driver Seat upholstery, and to rear side light lenses. All plumbing, microwave, oven, stove, toilet, power cord, wiring etc .... look new. I actually was somewhat shocked it was as good as the pictures. No scratches or any kind of damages on the wood cabinets, wood trim, walls etc. It does come with levelers, 15,000btu A/C.  The roof needs a coat but all vent covers are in great shape. He bought 6 new tires for it in April 2011. Started immediately, ran quiet. I will find out more with a test drive tomorrow.

Price is $19,500 - Total Miles 6,343

2000 Gulf Stream Palm Breeze, 32', 1 slideout, Ford Chassis, Triton V10 gas engine, 246 hours on the generator.

I am posting this to see opinions on this potential purchase....thanks for any information.

The Ford V10 is bulletproof.  I think it is a reasonable deal if all works on your "new" motorhome.  Check age on batteries...new ones will cost several hundred dollars.  This is low mileage on a 13 year old unit.  If stored inside, that makes a difference.  If you buy, change out all fluids....engine and generator oil and filters.  Flush antifreeze and transmission if no records state recent replacements.  Make sure a/c work...they are expensive.  Good luck.
