An RVer with a 2005 Alfa SeeYa reported hot water at the Atwood 10-gallon water heater and at the distribution panel, but no hot water flow at any coach faucets. Members first suggested checking the heater model, bypass setup, outlet check valve, manifold, and possibly the outside shower valves, but one member noted that if hot water truly reaches the distribution panel, the problem is likely at or beyond the manifold.

The owner later remembered a winter-burst line near the water heater had...

Hi everyone, I have a 2005 Alfa Seeya Coach 40ft. I am having a hot water problem I'm hoping someone else has had and remedied so I can fix mine. I have hot water at the tank and to the distribution panel in the sewer compartment but NO hot water in the coach at any of the faucets. I have removed the water heater bypass valve replaced with new. Checked all lines that I can get to and can't find any issues. Plenty of cold but no flow of water out of hot side at all. If I turn the bypass valve to hot water heater, I will get cold water out of hot side. Any Thoughts?

Make/model of the water heater and maybe a picture of the 'bypass setup' would help us.
With hot water in the distribution panel makes this a head scratcher.

A head scratcher for me too. I would have said that the check valve at the outlet is stuck shut. But now I don’t know.

Some water heaters have check valves both inlet and outlet
Did you by chance replace the INLET check valve.. ti's the OUTLET that causes the problems.

But you say you have hot water to the sewere compartment and if you turn the bypass valve cold flows.

Is that valve in the Sewer compartment? Valve bad is my #1 guess And I stress GUESS!!!

There is also this group...

This statement rules out any problems at the tank, including any check valves or bypass valves. If hot water reaches the manifold but does not exit from it, them the problem has to be at the manifold itself.

Thanks everyone that replied to my post. I got underneath the coach today and got to the back of water heater. Once there I remembered when my issue started. I had one of my lines coming to the hot water heater bust during the winter. I couldn't get to it to fix so my son said he could. He cut part of the line out and made a piece to fit. No hot to faucets since then. I'm going to take pics and try to get them in my laptop so i can post. Before i do that, does the main feed (cold water) come in the top or the bottom of my heater. It is An Atwood 10gal, would say original one in coach. My main cold line is coming in the top and the hot is coming out of the bottom of tank

The cold water supply goes in the bottom inlet and the hot water comes out the top outlet.

As Rene said, that is backward. Since cold water sinks and the hot rises, it may be possible that this is your problem, especially if you don't let it run for a while. It would probably tend to mix the hot and cold water together, but since I have never seen that done, I'm not sure exactly what the effect would be.

Kirk, what’s confusing is that the OP says no water flow on the hot side at all.

May have nothing to do with your situation, but be sure the outside shower faucets are both off. I had warm but no hot one time, and that was the culprit.

Thanks again everybody. I'm going to take the lines off and swap them. I will repost once I try that. Oh, and I'm not having any luck getting the pics from my phone to the laptop figure that when I was working, I had Microfiche not computers LoL

What kind of phont
Androids to windows you can use Quick Share (you need it on both) to send via Blue-tooth
On androids if using a cable once you are plugged in go to settings. SEARH for USB. then select USB settings.

Choose "Transfer Files and Video (Top option) Identify yourself and you should be able to move stuff with File Manager.. I just did

IOS.. Sorry I don't do those but on a guess.> Same issue.
