No more boondocking in Laughlin?

The long term "residents" are a problem but there are better ways to handle that situation than banning everyone.  I can't think that the casinos will let this go unchallenged.

BTW does anyone know where the RVers quoted in the article would usually go for a sewer dump and water top-up? It sounded like they stay in place for a weeks or months.

I can think of some scare "logic" (Illogic) for such a rule,  However as it happens I'm parked at the Circus Circus KOA (The park where I planned on parking being full up) they have a pay to dup station, plus full hookups (no extra charge) at every site

So I'm sure one could pay to dump/fill here  I've notices such facilities at other full-hook-up parks too in the LV area

BTW, to the poster to who started this thread... Thanks for the link

John, a PTD station is a good idea and something I'd gladly pay for if I was camped elsewehere and just needed to dump.

Lots of campgrounds will let you use their dump station for a fee, typically $5-10.

I just posted a note in this group and then saw this article "RV park In Laughlin".  While I was in Laughlin I saw a number of RVs who were obviously dry camping in a number of casiono parking lots while I was there this weekend.  It would seem that the law has changed, or the enforcement of the law has changed.

If anyone is familiar with the change it would be a good idea to post in this thread.  (If not you might inquire next time you are in the area.

While this thread started in 2006, it had a recent post. Has a change been made since mid-January 2009? We've spent 3 nights a year at Don's Riverside Casino for the last 10 years. Because I don't like to dis-connect, I park in the semi area. When we were there Jan 8-10 this year (2009), you merely had to have a slot card, vehicle registration, insurance card and sign up at the group desk. This permitted up to 14 days of parking "dry camping". We do not put the slide-out out or jacks down (others do). This layover during our annual January trip is very valuable to us and I'd hate to lose the parking privilege.
