I know you aren’t but others seem to think, or at least it appears so, that DST actually lengthens the daylight hours.Yes.. I'm not disputing that![]()

Agreed. Dst and the amount of daylight are 2 separate things but both do occur. The amount of daylight does change through the seasons. Never paid any attention to the timing of the 2 to know if they overlap. The length of the daylight hours does not change due to DST.
True- a major difference is that one cannot be controlled or influenced by humans, and the other is strictly human controlled.Dst and the amount of daylight are 2 separate things but both do occur.
Sleep in. It's darker longer.I’m exhausted. All this extra daylight is interfering with my sleep.![]()
As I understand this, the time zones were created for the transportation industry; up till then each city had their own time by using sun dials.Get rid of the time zones and all can use UT (Universal Time); Then we would all be in sync.
And March has the fastest gain of longer sunlight per day compared to all other months in the USA.I am looking forward to the extra hour of sunlight in the evening.
LOL same here....I’m lucky, I don’t take meds. Not that they aren’t prescribed, just don’t take them.
