Hi,
I have a 2015 Winnebago Navion 24v with a 3200 watt Oman generator. We live at an altitude of 5500? and at times, camp at 9000? or above. The generator really smokes on start up and really smells even after a warm up and proper load placed on it. I?ve checked the obvious things, ie. air intake, fresh oil change, proper load etc., to no avail. The Onan tech. claims there is no manual adjustment. I suspect the automatic altitude compensator is not functioning properly. Does anyone have any experience with this problem?
Right about now I?m wishing I had the standard propane power.
Thanks.
