Onan 4000 generator fails after running a while

What altitude are you at? This took me a few years to figure out, but mine would not reliably run at higher altitudes. Turns out that it has a tiny, almost hidden switch to adjust it. There are two higher settings, and in Colorado I switched it to highest one and it worked perfectly!! Switch is on front after taking cover off, but was behind a cord.

Is there some reason for converting my response into Spanish? Perhaps if you start it enough times it will fix it's self?
Thank you for your kind help, I don't speak or understand English perfectly and I'm not very experienced in this chat, my sincere apologies.

Thank you for your great help, I am now in Austin Tx. 489 ft, Greetings.

No apology is needed. I was only trying to understand. The altitude would not be a problem where you are. If you have the adjustment that is shown in post #21, it should be set near the low (left) end.

When you say it is having explosions, do you mean that it is backfiring? You probably have a carburetor problem.

Hello I have an Onam 4000 generator I changed filters and gasoline pump, carburetor and oil, when starting at idle or with load it works perfect, but since it works for a while it begins to fail, has anyone had this problem? How have they solved it?

Today I finally had time to get into my generator, I looked for all the places that you did me a favor to recommend, I was about to order a pump and an EOM carburetor, since I have the cheapest ones on Amazon, when I turned it on and it started to fail much earlier than before, by chance I saw that the thin wire that reaches the coil moved at the pace of the failure I tightened the connector and miracle, the failure is over and it works like new. I am very grateful and hope my experience and the solution will be useful to you sometime. Greetings and a thousand thanks.
