I have been getting this message a lot:

"We tried to renew your PRlME at the end of each billing cycle, but your monthly payment has failed

Obviously, we are looking forward to renew your Account

FREE PRlME Approval'

I am an Amazon Prime member.

And this message does NOT come in as spam. But many things give it away as an attempt at online fraud.

1. Uses my old email address that gets forwarded to my actual email.
2. The return address looks very suspicious.
3. The grammar is not correct.
4. My membership card credit card does not expire, and my account is in good standing to May 24, 2024, when I check direct at Amazon.

Are others getting this message and as regular email (not s spam)?

Yep, I've been getting a number of those one two different emails that I have never used with Amazon, or any other vendor.
I'm curious how they get through my spam filter.

I get those too. We also get fake surveys from different outlets. If you fill them out they ask for your CC number at the end.

You folks are getting all the scams. I was lucky enough to win 58 million bucks from Publishers Clearing House. I had to first pay the taxes on it before I received the balance.
And they were going to be nice enough to put me in touch with the correct banker to handle the funds and the follow up payment to me , which guarantees my payment is expedited so I can receive the balance in a week. If not, I loose my winnings.

Ironically, I get those on my Comcast account, never do on my couple yahoo or gmail accounts (like the one I use for Forums)

Wow, I just disputed an automatic $20 a year charge from an online mapping company and got a refund from my credit card company.

They do that with ANY dispute. Then in a month or two, it gets well checked out and they either charge your account back or leave it not charged after their decision.

Yes, for some reason I've been getting these types of Emails. If you notice, they all have the same look and style.

I even got one from my email provider saying they were locking out my account for non - payment. Um ... I'm using a 100% completely free email. I've had the same Email for 27 years. When I set up that email, it was with an old dial-up system. You wrote all your emails, then you dialed up a number and connected your computer to the phone. It then uploaded all your emails and down loaded all your new emails and then disconnected from the phone. Later, it went internet and I've continued to use it... now ... 27 years and never paid a cent. And now, I get an email saying I'm being shut down for lack of payment. I simply deleted the email. It had the same look as all the other weird ones I've been getting, especially for business and services I've never doen business with!

Delete and move on. Never, ever respond to them. Report them to your email provider as Spam and if they are using some other company as their cover, send a copy of the email to that company's fraud department.

Never, never respond to these scams. They are automatically sent out to thousands of people. If you respond, they now know it a legitimate email account and you are in line to get even more.
Most of these are sent from a gmail account. Another GOOGLE tracking trap.

And Never ever open ANY attachment sent. NEVER

I think no one is immune from scammers, their incidious efforts effect all walks of life.

I often receive "renewal" emails and site links to renew my IEEE membership and various other accounts, some that I do not even have.! be careful out there... my father used to say "a fool and his money are easily parted" .. be vigilant..

We've been getting similar emails, letting us know that our subscription to MacAfee, or Webroot, or some other anti-virus company, has been renewed for the sum of $8xx.xx - everything looks legit, other than the return email address being a gmail account rather than a corporate account, and the fact that we've never had a subscription with any of them.

I’ve been getting very similar. (I’m curious how you’re differentiating this as email and not spam. I may not have the definition correct, but I certainly call this spam.)

Lately I have been getting that sort of trash via text. And also the political parties seem send a lot of money request texts, especially an ex-president.

I tell each and every single politician or their solicitors that begins their lip service with "we are running to work for you" or a similar line that I will believe it when they spend their own money that they worked for to get elected. We no longer have citizen politicians.

Spam is any text, email, or phone call you receive trying to trick you into giving personal information or clicking on a link that could possible download malware, spyware, or viruses into your phone or computer. Also known as phishing.
