My coach is old and has begun to fall apart. The latest is the outside rear view driving mirrors.
Mine are the power adjustable. Today when out by the rig I saw the L/H mirror had fallen out. Landed in the grass and was in good condition. I appears that it was glued in place. The glue had hardened to the point that it could be taken off the back of the mirror with your thumb nail. I am not sure, but it looks as if it was glued to a plastic ring inside the mirror housing. Inside the ring are the servos to do the adjusting.
It sure was a good adhesive as the rig is a 1994 rig.
Does anyone have experience as to fixing the mirrors back in place or recommendations on what type of glue to use to put it back again. The opposite mirror seems to be still firmly attached.
Thanks in advance for any advise, Jerry

I've used silicon adhesive on mirrors and have had good experince with it.  I got it at Home Depot but lots of places have it.

It is glued, Several adheasives will work well.. Your auto glass store can tell you what they use.. I do not think I'd care for silicon but Polyurethane like (NOTE the LIKE) might be good.  Ask at the store.
