Outside red drain tube?

We have a 2006 Forest River Rockwood, 26 feet. We have found a permanently installed red tube that comes out under the bathroom area on the underside of the trailer. It appears to drain whenever there is pressure in the water system. When pressure is maintained in the system by the pump, it drains a little more when the pump is running. Can anyone tell me where this tube is connected in the water line, and why it would drain all the time?

Thanks!

Jenny

It sounds like it is a low point drain on the hot water side of your system. there should be a valve on it to stop the water flow. It is used to drain the water system for winterizing.

And the drain valve is leaking.

Thank you, gentlemen. My husband got under the tub and found that the low point drain valve had started to come apart, perhaps from freezing. He was able to take it apart and reassemble it. Now it appears to be working and pointing us in the right direction.
