We are new to hauling a travel trailer and need to plan our route back to Minneapolis, leaving Friday. We came thru West Virginia on HWY 64, which was decent elevation wise (stunning mountain views). With the severe weather that just came through Ohio, wondering what the best route back is in regards to drive ability with a trailer and the weather (weather being the most important). Any good route planning apps over Google maps that account for future weather (preferably free)? Anyone know the best route off the top of there head? Any advice is appreciated!

Just head on out and keep an eye on the weather. If it looks like it is going to get bad then park somewhere until it is over.

We often use the NWS Graphical Forecast page to check what's going on. For some reason I can't get any response from that page now, but normally you can select precip, cloud cover, severe wx, and more, and check forecast of each at 12 hour intervals for several days ahead..
