Ned and I left Palmer on Thursday for a very pleasant and beautiful drive to Glennallen where we spent two nights at Northern Lights. Yesterday we drove to Chitina after stopping at the visitor centers in Glennallen and Wrangell-St Elias National Park and Preserve. Today we drove to Valdez which is probably the most awesome and beautiful drive yet on this trip. It is like a little Switzerland on the way here and in Valdez with mountains all around the Valdez Inlet. This was a Wow drive. We are parked on the inlet right at the boat channel and have a view of at least six glaciers. Tomorrow we will take a boat trip to Columbia Glacier. The weather has been partly cloudy and sunny all three days. For more detail about our trip check our blog. The pictures are Bridal Veil Falls, from our campsite, from Thompson Pass, Horseshoe Falls, and Worthington Glacier.
