Peak Kodiak K22+2 for Northern BC Use

Looking at purchasing a Kodiak K22+2, Cold and new to RV world would appreciate opinions on this 5th wheel RV? Planning to use it summer/fall in Northern BC. PG, Smithers level.

Do you happen to have a link to the RV you are looking at? I had a Kodiak Skamper travel trailer way back when. It was a good camper, but had some issues where they skimped on the quality. Many RV's are like that though. Mine was definitely an entry level camper, but it did us great for 5 years. We only got rid of it to go bigger with a 5th wheel. I had the AC replaced under warranty, and had to have the heater taken apart to find the cause of it not lighting. Damn dirt daubers got on the burner. Other than that, just some little things like trim coming loose (I glued it back down), and other little things that I fixed. We were very satisfied with our TT. I don't know what they are like now as the brand has changed ownership I think a couple of times. Anyway, welcome to the forum, and let us know more about the trailer you are looking at.

Don't have personal experience with that fifth wheel. But, do know it was designed as a 4 seasons trailer and are built light enough to be towed by a half ton pickup truck. It is a mid-tier RV with less expensive cabinets with the usual fit and finish issues as EdJunior noted. Owner reviews I've found online indicate they were pleased with the Kodiak K22+2. Should work fine for summer and shoulder season use. However, I wouldn't try to use it in a Canadian winter without some significant modifications. I would suggest checking the roof caulking and replace if necessary.

It's a Peak Kodiak, k22+2, made by Peak Manufacturing, in Saskatchewan, that built somewhere from 1990 into 2005 maybe. No underbelly winter pac. one piece roof, aluminium frame w/ styrofoam walls I think. Thanks for the support, G
