Phoenix to Sioux Falls

I've got a non-RV trip coming, will be pulling a utility trailer with a pickup, Phoenix to Sioux Falls around 10/1. Planning on 40/25 to Springer, NM. From that point it looks like I have 3 options:

• 412 towards Salina then 81 up though Lincoln/Omaha/Sioux City
• 109/96/287/40 angling up through Cheyenne Wells and Grand Island
• Stay on 25 up to Timpas, then 71/76 up through North Platte. Google says this is 30 minutes faster than option 1 and the same as option 2

This is just a "get there" trip doing 500 mile days and I'm looking for the easiest, least fatiguing drive (best roads, etc) If anyone has recent experience on these roads/routes I'd love to hear them.
