You don't have to have a MH/RV in-hand just to plan a trip. All you need are checklists.
Skip the Amazon click-bait, the rest are good links to thousands of different checklists, which you can modify to fit your specific needs and desires.
Perform the MH-specific checklists when you do bring it home. A checklist will give you a heads-up for filling the propane tank before you get home, etc.
Since it's snowing you can't do some MH checklist items anyway.

Yes, the weather forecast does not look good for the next few days, or weeks. I would be cautious about driving it under these conditions. Especially if it's your first time driving a class A.
