Are you sure the trailer was level when you measured it? I just find it hard to imagine that the Yukon sits so high, seems the E2 shank wouldn't work on any 1/2 ton. (at least my F150 receiver sits a few inches higher than my ex- YukonXL).

Yes. I measured the trailer on flat asphalt. The car as well With the ball installed. Difference, 7”. The car as auto leveling that can’t be shut off. Has to be close Or they will fight each other. Or so I am told. Make since anyway.

I didn‘t realize what I wrote in the title.

Welcome to the forum.
Your going to have to purchase a hitch that is adjustable for height. Then take the trailer to a place with a level parking lot and adjust the hitch so the trailer is level.

The shank does NOT need to be a Fastway shank, unless you really insist that it be. As I noted, they are all made to the same specs.

Here is a Curt shank that is about 12 inches tall and (with a Curt head) gives a 7 inch drop.

Since I am 73 a cougar would be in her nineties. No thanks.

I just remembered that my first car was a 1967 Cougar. So I was driving around in a Cougar with a Cougar looking for a Cougar to photograph.

Shake down trip went off perfectly. I needed all 7" drop to make it happen.
We really like our new trailer. The old one sold and picked up the same weekend.

Fastway has multiple shanks available from 2/12 inch to 6.5 inch drop.
