hello again,
thankyou for the quick responses. i got the info from my appliances. the water heater is a "direct vent water heater by American appl mfg corp" made in Santa Monica cal. the model number was difficult to see but i believe it said RV 6-X. fridge is a domestic RM 2400 gas electric. it has pilot light controls on the inside of the camper. the only thing i can find about the heater a a customer thankyou letter from hydro flame corporation. the heater itself has suburban stamped into the cover. i found lighting cards for the furnace and fridge, but still cant get them to light. haven't tried water heater yet, stove works fine, but it looks newer,it is a holiday by Coleman. was wondering about the thermostat, where should it be set while lighting the pilot.
just a Little more info on us, i just finished college and am relocating my family from Lansing mi to Florida. we decided it would be fun to live in an rv for a while rather than a apartment while we get settled. haven't decided where yet, probably volusia county, i spent 5 years there before and know the area well. was wondering what mpg i might expect from the rv?(1971 aristrocraft gm 30 frame 350 engine, 350 trans) I'm not sure on the length, but it is a small rv. i have also heard horror stories about going through the mountains and construction. is there any truth to this? is there an updated map with the best route to avoid construction?
thanks for everything, mike
