Plan B trip ideas

Wife and I are planning a trip from IN to UT for National Parks the second and third week of October. However, there is a threat of the government shut down starting October 1. In the event of the shutdown, we are looking for other trip ideas. We have about two weeks available. One of the thoughts was to head to the Myrtle Beach area and possibly Cape Hatteras. What other locations would this group recommend? Thanks in advance.

Last shutdown Arizona took steps to keep the major national parks open.
Grand  Canyon etc

Come to Florida and visit Disney World. October is a good month to visit there. Many other things to do here. It will be open guaranteed.
