Hi, we are planning on a cross country trip from Portland Oregon to Myrtle Beach SC in early March (retired and moving). Our first leg of the trip will be to Boise Idaho via the I-84. After Boise, it will be Salt Lake city, Fort collins CO, Kansas City MO, St Louis, Nashville, Atlanta. Has anyone completed this trip before?
We are pulling a 30ft travel trailer. Are there any sketchy/bad (hills/grades) areas to look out for. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Cabbage/Meacham east of Pendelton starting about shortly past MM 216 and Wildhorse Casino, also a RV park there and fuel. About 7 miles 6% uphill, down grade starts about MM 235-240ish. It isn't that bad but past Hilgard Jct you drop into a canyon with some curves so be aware. Also a state campground, Emigrant Springs on top.

Ladd Canyon east of La Grande is the next, shorter but IMO harder pull, again the downside isn't as bad. After that is is just the ups and downs to SLC.

I-84 Boise to I-15/84 Ogden, UT. I-84 to I-80 across WY to Cheyenne then south on I-25 to Ft. Collins. US 287, Laramie to Ft. Collin’s, would save some miles, but I am not familiar with that road. Watch the weather carefully. March is still winter in the Rockies! Further south on I-15 to I-70 eastbound might be a good choice depending on the weather. Best to avoid the rush hours in the Ogden/Salt Lake City area.
Are you planning motel overnights? Phillips RV Park in Evanston, WY, will likely have a spot available with power but no water. You’ll have to call them.
Safe travels and happy retirement!

We've gone from Portland to Twin Falls ID with our 40' 5th wheel and it's not bad at all. It's an interstate freeway so it needs to be able to handle a lot of big rigs.
There are not any really steep climbs or harrowing curves to watch out for.
The first time we drove through Boise it was about 2pm and the traffic was quite heavy.

We drove from Portland Oregon to Portland Maine but that was 34 yrs ago We found the road in some places rough from spring weather and big trucks. We also found the spring winds hard to deal with sometimes. Just take your time it was do able then and I don't imagine it has gotten any worse. 34 yrs ago we didn't have the phone apps or maps to help and we had 2 teenagers, one canary, 3 dogs and 1 big ol' snake.
