I am replacing my converter on my 06 Winnebago Voyage, i failed to mark the positive wire when i disconnected the old converter.  I have 3 wires, 2 green and 1 black, the one green is obviously the ground.  Is my black or green wire my positive?
Thanks for any help i can get.

This is a little late but in the future take out your cell phone and snap a photo before disconnecting anything. We need a photo now of the two green wires and the one black.

This may help:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlPMCtxEcog
Take a good look at the end of the convertor. You'll probably find a (+) (-) and a ground symbol. The person who originally installed the old convertor probably ran out of red wire and used a green wire instead for the positive.

Welcome to the Forum!

Get a volt meter and check the wires to verify which is + and which is -.  It is really hard to tell.  In house wiring, black is hot and green is ground.  In a camper, all bets are off!!

I am sure when you took it off, you made a mental note, but somehow, the note got lost!  ;D  I do that way too often.  Tom's method works better.

(slaps forehead) Now why didn't I think of that. :-\ Oh well, I have no brains so therefore I get no headaches.

Made me think of a meme I saw the other day.  A pic of Dorthy, the lion, the tin man and the scarecrow sitting on a bench eating ice cream.  They all had brain freeze, except the scarecrow.

My all time favorite movie is The Wizard Of Oz. I noticed a long time ago that not a day passes by that I don't see or hear some reference to that movie. Unleash the flying monkeys, we're not in Kansas anymore, follow the Yellowbrick Road and many other lines or references. I cannot think of any other movie that is so well remembered and quoted and it is almost 80 years old. So your reply Crow, was the reference for today. Thanks. :D

Are we talking about the 120v input or the 12v output wires?  He stated 2 greens and a black, so that sounds more like 120v to me.  The battery cables should be fairly easy to trace to see which is battery Plus and which is chassis ground/battery negative.
In 120v wiring, the hot wire will be black or red. Neutrals are white and ground is green, but maybe somebody replaced a white with a green?

I'm afraid I never hear such Wizard of OZ references.

What I mostly hear is:  "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."

Mostly about Washington, but occasionally about my state capitol, Albany . . .

I just had a second WOO reference today on IMDB:

"Rob Riggle puts his U.S. Marine experience to the test against a wicked witch, a beast, and some fancy people on a boat."

I have had two WOO references today including a funny one. One pair of the ruby slippers was located by the FBI and is being returned to the museum they were stolen from. The last line of the article is hysterical:

"The FBI has a press conference scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. Investigators haven't said whether the slippers were clicked together three times before finding their way home." ;D ;D ;D

The campground we host at has a picnic pavilion area called Lizard Rock.  This is one of our assigned areas to clean.
Told my wife yesterday as I got in the cart, "Well, I'm off to clean the lizard".  Then I busted out laughing.
She, of course, looked at me like I was crazy.
