Powered Entry Awning?

We have a 2007 Winnebago Journey 39K.  It currently has a manually operated entry door awning.  The large slide awning is powered of course and it appears to be capable of a powered entry as it has switches labeled as such and I can hear a relay click when trying the door awning button.  My question is, is the coach indeed wired for a powered entry awning?  I could of course take the current one off to inspect but hoping someone has performed this upgrade before I get started.

Thanks!

Pretty sure you would not have the switch for a powered over the door awning unless there was one there ? at least originally.  My 03 Ultimate Advantage came with a powered door awning. Under warranty, and again a month ago, the awning has failed to work due to water in the motor. The first time a dealer got it working. Last month I once again managed to get it working again.  Since you report your coach has a manual awning over the door, I would say that a previous owner had problems with the powered awning and replaced it with a manual one, and left the switch in place to avoid a hole there.

I had a 2006 Fleetwood Providence with a powered front door awning. The motor died and it cost over $500 just for the motor without the installation.

Yes. Crazy price mark-ups when "RV" is added to the part description .. I recently learned that one of the common Carefree awning motors is a very common Dorman power window motor available through any auto parts store or on amazon for under $50.

What those guys said. I just wanted to pop in and welcome you to the forum. We're in the Texas Hill Country about 30 miles west of Fredericksburg.
