So I bought this small RCA laptop replacing my Dell laptop to use for my VMSpc display. It has a much smaller footprint, and will only be used to connect to the Silverleaf VMSpc GIB, and send the engine data to a 7-inch DoubleSight monitor.
The RCA has only one USB port, and one Micro USB port. I was hoping I could use that port to power the USB monitor once I obtain the proper cable.
I want to connect to the VMSpc data and a second (DoubleSight 7-inch USB monitor)
Two issues: The USB will power a mouse and external drive, but will not power the VMSpc. Comm 3 is the correct port, but it just won't connect. I have exchanged cables without success. All of the devices work fine with my Dell Laptop - 2 USB ports and all works, maybe I should just keep it?
With an adapter cable (male Micro USB and male mini USB) can I use the Micro USB port to power the monitor?
Any assistance from a smarter-than-me-user would be appreciated. I'm obviously doing something wrong!
