propane tanks

I have 2 30 gallon propane tanks in my 5th wheel trailer.  When one tank runs out of propane it automatically switches from that tank to the other.  My question is, if the tank selector switch is pointed to the full tank can I removed the empty tank and still be using the full tank?

Yes, just make sure you have your empty refilled and installed before you use up the one you are running off. Once you reinstall your refill be sure and open the valve so the switch regulator will continue to do it's job.

No fun running out of propane in the middle of the night.
