t][/size]Hello I am new to RVs and was going to buy a 32 foot trailer.  Will my 2003 Yukon Denali 8cyl be able to pull this trailer over short distances.  At the most over flat roads and only for 1 to 2 hours driving time.

Please give me some much needed  advise
Thanks csm72

To answer you we are going to need a lot more info on that Yukon like rating (1500, 2500.. ?) and engine size.  Do you have the owners manual?  Look for a tow rating there, otherwise give us the data.

We will also need the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the trailer.

Finally  we need to know what part of the country you would be towing in.

IF its FLAT road and 1-2 hours your good to go assuming U install a proper sized hitch(10K) and use at least 1000LB rated equilizer bar system. If its a 4.8 V8 its going to be very poor power so hopefully u have the 5.3
Make double sure you use a electronic trailer brake controll also

I tend to agree with Carl we need more information about both the tow vehicle and the trailer itself. Give yo an idea by looking at the spec sheet on mine. Click on the link in my signature. Please no dry weight numbers the don't mean anything. We need GVWR of both and GCWR of the tow vehicle.

You are doing the right thing by asking questions. I have seen a few times on the road where people just hooked up the trailer and took off without a care and to only have big problems down the road. Carl and Mike are right. More info is needed and it is so easy to get. That is a good size trailer for your vehicle to pull and having brakes the WORK correctly is a must. And lastly, thank you for asking for help. You did yourself a favor and maybe some others too.
