Another project came to me a few months ago. I was interrupted by Carpal Tunnel and trigger finger release surgery that kept me out of the studio for many weeks. I’m still having pain from that but this song wouldn’t let me wait. It ripped itself out of me most painfully.
A very good friend of mine from high school has a very interesting life story and I felt he really needed a song. As far as I know nobody else has stepped up to the plate so it was up to me.
His name is Danny Daniels. (Google him) He is well known for his work with Billy Graham. He has many more accolades to his name, Doctor of Theology, Evangelist, Pastor, Smuggler, decorated USMC Sargent, author, speaker, husband, father, advocate for veterans and much more. But I knew Danny when we were 15-18 years old, before all of that happened. Since the last time I saw him we have been in contact via email and Facebook only. (It’s in the song)
It’s all true. As true as I could make it. The last line will kill you. Especially if you’re a Vietnam vet.
The attached picture is the display of my audio workstation with this project on screen, notice the little duck on top of the monitor? I intend to keep it there forever. The song explains why.
As always I suggest you use headphones or earbuds because the mixes are made for them.
Thank you for listening.
