Quartzsite 2025 non-organized rally 18-26 January 2025

Brakes are done. AC on hold. Otherwise we're oiled and finally expect to leave on the 12th. But our KOFA stop is being preempted by a visit to grandson. After that we're off to Yuma for a couple days. Then it's a return to the Windy Hill campground at Roosevelt lake AZ.

Spent a week there last year and fell in love with the area. Windy Hill is one of and I believe the largest of several Forest Service campgrounds along SR 188. Should be there around the 17th. They have potable water and a dump station if anyone is interested.

Has anyone heard how Bill and Renae got on with their slide issue?

Just to keep the tradition, why not remove all the dates and abbreviate them to just the two digits.
Should enable the stone to go on a few more years.
I think someone around the campfire suggested this.

Larry the above was what i was responding to. I should have referenced that quote

Here is the update:

We returned to the Resort on the island and I opened the slideout without any issue. I do know that it needs to be checked out and fixed.

I ordered and received four sets of gears to replace the current ones and have spares.

I met with the service manager of a dealer here in town and want to schedule the work to be done just before we leave for the spring with the grandkids in Minnesota.

I hope that the slide closes one more time to take it to the dealer.

The other update is that we sold the house.

It is going to be a very busy time to have an estate sale, followed by a large garage sale to get rid of everything.

A auction service will handle it as well as a separate party doing the garage sale, followed by giving the rest away.

I still need to deal with the Class C, as well as the Mustang.

I think that I will just leave them in storage rather than deal with tire kickers.

Thanks, Joe...

And who wants to remove the 4 digit dates that are in maybe 3-4 layers of paint and marker from a concrete stone? Willing to let someone else try, but it will be very difficult. Maybe we should get a new stone, but I’m not sure where. If someone wants to volunteer, go ahead1 But they also have to paint the RVForum logo on it.

Hi Bill, hope you are both well. Just wondering if you got the slide fixed yet?

Yes, a dealer here in LHC fixed it. Was a stop bracket inside the slideout. Replaced the gear with one of my spares.

Lots of things to post about, but have not been on here for quite awhile.

Will tell all about it when I feel up to it.
Hope you are ok. You must be exhausted with everything that's been going on. Hugs
