Question on Air conditioner and the fan power draw.

I am just curious, the air conditioner I know requires a city electrical connection or a generator to operate does this also mean the fan tht blows the cool air also run on the city or generator power, or does the fan draw separately from DC battery power?

Short answer yes.

I use "Stand alone" fans when I'm on inverter power

I use 'em when I'm on shore power too as they really help keep my cool.

If you have a wall thermostat that controls the air conditioner, it uses a small amount of 12 volt power to run itself and the interface relays.  But this isn't a concern because the converter will be operating from the same 120 volts that's running the A/C so you aren't drawing anything from the batteries.

If the controls are on the A/C itself, it doesn't use any 12 volt power, just 120 volts.
