Quick trip before Back to School

My Grandkids are on the last week of Spring Break and today was my last chance for me to take them out fishing since I'll be gone the rest of the week. I normally Fly fish and throw Topwater plugs for Stripers, but with my young Grand Daughter aboard trolling is a better way to go. The day started out very slow, then when the Tide finally changed we a short flurry of bites. The kids had a blast reeling in fish. Nothing big, legal schoolies to sub legal. Kept a couple eaters for fresh fish tacos. With all the rain we have had this winter lots of dirty water is coming down the system, the spring run is just now getting started and the big females haven't made their showing yet,,,gregg
