So, I received Rand McNally's "Motor Carrier's Road Atlas" laminated, large map edition. I'm discovering some significan issues.

1. It's very HEAVY! More than likely if I end up keeping this thing we may have to buy a ligher TOAD to accommodate the weight.

2. So I did my first test-- laying out and opening this tome on a sturdy table-- and figured I'd take a look at the area surrounding our home here in New York. I discovered that I had to manually page through page by page in order to find New York. But then, no matter how hard I tried, no matter how many fingers I used to pinch together in any direction to zoom in to a more detailed map view-- the map did nothing. Just looked at me. Clearly some kind of bug there...

3. But it gets worse. I found that in order to look up the location of a specific town, in another state for example, apparently the only way to do this is to turn to the back of the book, find the state, then scroll down, down, multiple pages of 2 point type to find the name of the town. THEN, you have to remember that reference, turn BACK to the state and draw imaginary lines of intersections to find-- if you're lucky-- the town.

And "Searches"?? ROUTING?!? Well, don't even get me started there.

The bottom line is that given all of these issues, I'm thinking I should just try  to sell to some unfortunate... uh, I mean-- some LUCKY individual who does not presently posesses such a marvelous tool! Surely there must be somebody out there...
