Hi all,
We are a family of 5 (3 kids: 8, 10, 12) that is outgrowing our Forest River Micro-Lite 23LB trailer. It has a triple stacked bunks, but bottom bunk is almost at floor level, and kids are outgrowing the limited headspace in the bunks.

Looking for a new to us trailer, that is ideally 1/2 ton pullable.

Wish list:
-bumper pull
-under 30 feet ball to bumper
-hoping for it to be under 7,000 lbs dry
-U-shaped table seating
-some counter space for cook prep
-3 or 4 single sized bunks
-need to sleep 3 kids, without any of them sharing a bed
-main bed must be permanently setup, not a murphy bed
-having a sofa/couch is not required

Anyone know any makes/models that fit this description?

The trailer i have is a Jayce Jay-Feather 24BH, it only has two bunks but the table area converts and all three are full size mattress.

Hope this helps!

Have you considered one of the hybrid trailers? Our son had one with 3 outboard beds and both the table and the couch would convert to a bed. To tow safely with a half-ton truck, you need to minimize the weight and hybrids give lots of space with very little weight.

The hybrids are great for weight savings but if you plan to stay at campgrounds in national parks some only allow hard sided rvs due to the wildlife

We owned a forest river grey wolf 26bh when our kids were small. Other than the u shaped table seating i think it had everything else you listed.

It wasnt a high quality rv but we got our money's worth out of it. It had 2 beds in the bunk area, a queen bed in the front, a sofa that converted into a bed and the dinette also converted into a bed.

No slides in that one so it was a tight fit with 4 of us

Thanks for the replies!

I ran across the K-Z Spree 240BHS while doing google searches. Anyone have experience with this model, or brand?

We owned a 2012 model KZ Sportsman and were very happy with it but KZ was bought out by Thor Ind. in 2014 so things may be different now.

My son had a 28' Forest River with quad bunks in the back for his two kids, thinking they would bring friends. I don't know the model but it was about 2014. He ended up selling it when his son got so tall his feet were hanging out. He first took the door to the bunk room off and put a curtain there instead, but gave up and replaced it with a longer trailer with two queen-sized bunks.
