hi, i have a nordcold n611 refrigerator in my rv.
both freezer and refrigerator doesn?t make cold, they are pretty warm.
i don?t have any warning from the 2 leds in front of the fridge.
when on gas mode, i see the flame working.
when connected to ac it turns in ac mode but still doesn?t make cold.
i have checked the thermistor on the fin and the ohm looks fine. i?ve tested that with a tester at 32F and 85F. the kohm are fine.
what else could be?
thanks

mario

How long do you let it run before you check the temps?
How old is it?
Has it been working good right along?

i let it runs for several hours before checking.
it has 3 years. it worked good with both propane and ac till the last season.

on ac the rod is hot and on propane the flame is burning.

Shut it ff before you destroy it. Take it someplace where you can park it on a level surface and then try it again.

thanks, i?ll try the fridge when i can park it on leveled area.

That slope could easily be your problem. Running it there (or any big slope) can also cause damage to the fridge.

Holy crap! That's a hell of a slope.  I hope you haven't ruined your refrigerator.

These RV absorption refrigerators are supposed to run when the RV is relatively level because the "stuff" in the tubes has to be able to circulate.  If not level it can get too hot and that's when you have problems.  When we park on an angle like you show in the photo, we turn it off to prevent damage or - worse - fire.

They also are much slower to cool than residential refrigerators.  We turn ours on a day or two before filling and then fill with cold things like beer and juice first.  That helps it stay cold while you're opening and closing the door.

thanks.
i?ve been able to park in a flat area. just came back after 2 hours and the freezer is working good while the refrigerator is till warm. do you think is only a matter of waiting?
would be 2 hours enough to get the fridge cold also considering that it?s 80F outside?

Doubtful.  Especially if it's in the sun.  It sometimes helps if the side where the refrigerator is located can have some shade such as an awning or tree, but I should think it would take at least 12 hours.  Like I said, we generally start it a day or two ahead of time and fill it gradually starting with the coldest items.  I like to get it loaded on the afternoon before travel and then only need to put in the last minute things the day we leave.  That gives it all night to get really cold after opening and closing during filling.

FYI The fridge cools the freezer section first and when it gets cold the lower part starts to cool. It may take a few hours before the freezer is cold.

:))
Note to self: Do not let refrigerator run while parked in driveway, it will quit, possibly catch fire, and cost me a lot of money.

That's awesome. Thanks for getting back to us. Many times we don't here what the outcome is when we try to help people.  Also keep in mind to try and fill the fridge with items already chilled.
