I have a 2008 southwind with a double door Norcold refrigerator in it. If I am parked the refer will work in LP but when I am on the road it stop working and when I try to restart it it says no flame. Anyone ever have this problem and know what the fix is.
Thank you

#1 clean the burner. There are probably bits of rust all over it.

#2 make sure the flame is 'healthy'. Clean the orifice and the gas path.

#3 don't leave the flame inspection port open.

#4 make sure the insulation is wrapped around the flue.

Good luck.

First.. I'm told you can go 8 hours or more w/o power or flame if you don't open the door.. Have done it in fact.

Second: People holler "Oh what if the wind of travel blows out the flame" and I've been saying for years that the Fridge has sensors to either re-light or shut it down when that happens.

Thank you for proving it.

In addition to all the suggestions above.. you may need to rig some wind protection. .What I do not knwo is where you need to rig it. Top vent. bottom near the burner (NOTE it needs air lots of air not just for the burner but for the radiator (Heat exchanger) you can't see easily. I did not have that problem so can't say were to block wind.

Your LP flame is likely getting blown out while driving. Try cleaning the burner and orifice, checking the LP regulator, and adding a small wind guard. If it still happens, a loose thermocouple or weak flame signal could be the issue. Running on electric while driving might be a workaround if your setup allows.
