I quit getting flu shots in the 70's because I often got a few of the symptoms afterwards and I got so many shots while in the service in the 60's that I just dont want anymore. didnt get the plandemic shots but did get the virus for 2 days. was like the flu. I get some flu-like symptoms some winters but they dont last long so I dont worry about. just my experience YMMV
I had to get the first round of Covid shots to be able to visit my then 89 year old mother. The first shot went OK but the second shot darn near killed me. I was unable to get out of bed for a good 36 hours. Never again.

I did both Covid shots as a requirement for my job - probably not a good thing to have a Chef with Covid. But I still got it. It was nowhere near as bad as I thought it might be. Even less symptoms than the flu I've had in the past. Didn't have any problems with the shots. I guess they affect everyone differently.

Autism, cancer, and declining fertility rates have been rising. I'm glad Robert Kennedy is doing something. Stop putting yoga mat foam in bread. It doesn't matter whether all these unnecessary additives can be proved harmful or not. Take them out.

In order to be approved a vaccine needs to prevent the disease in 50%+ cases.
And The COVID vaccine met that standard.

But when it comes to preventing DEATH. it die a bit better. Something near 99% of the vaccinated... Lived. I am vaccinated.

A friend of mine believed the anti-vaxer warnings.... May he rest in peace.

Yeah, I'm no anti-vaxxer but I won't rush out and get the next new vaccine for cooties or somesuch. I usually get a flu shot and I did get the shingles vax. Years ago my mother got shingles and one of the chefs in our kitchen got it - she was in her early 30's and she said it was PAINFUL and persistent. I am a firm believer in western medicine. Take all the Balance of Nature and beet juice you want if it helps, but if I'm sick I want the DRUGS!!

RFK JR: “If you look at the studies that were done of the Pfizer vaccine … the people who got the vaccine had a 23% higher death rate from all causes”

MAHER: “But that could be the disease itself.”

RFK JR: “Well then the vaccine doesn't work, does it?”

Read that the claim is a myth. Do you have any evidence that it is not.
Sorry, I do not have links to the studies he's talking about. I'm sure one could find what he's referring to by researching what he has cited. If he's making false claims I would think we'll soon see a lawsuit.
Or one could believe it's a myth if one wanted to. I was just quoting the guy.

I just googled it and the first thing that came up is (it's a resurfaced myth). Since I don't believe much of what Kennedy has to say I didn't see any need to go further. If there's something credible that's available I'd like to see it.

If you haven't noticed the past couple years there will be a lawsuit or court case over every single thing whether it is false or not.

Our local Walgreens and CVS just got the new COVID shots, but both are requiring a prescription even though we are well over 65. Our doctor is fine with writing them, but agrees with us that it shouldn't be necessary. It's just more RFK jr BS and confusion.

True but there is more to it... Many lawsuits are dismissed as groundless... Some people are "Frequent targets" Some often win. Some do not.

I recall one prominent citizen who was sued.. The judge carefully listened to the plaintiffs. then when they rested their case told the defense to go home.. Case dismissed.

And several where the lawyers who brought the case got fined and censured.. Some of them are no longer lawyers.

The judges are starting to get nasty with those who waste the court's time.

Another "most commonly believed myth" aka "conspiracy theory" is suddenly fact.
I assume this is a joke?

The Gateway Pundit (TGP) is an American far-right website founded in 2004 by Jim Hoft, who remains its owner, editor, and primary driving force. The site describes itself as a conservative news outlet, but it is widely characterized as a source of fake news, conspiracy theories, and misinformation.."

There's a video clip of his testimony at that link. The leanings of the news site are irrelevent other than the fact that no other organization chose to highlight that portion of testimony. You could go watch the entire 4 hours of testimony and see him say the same thing.

Back to Remember When.

I'm old enough to remember when you could read the newspaper, listen to the news on the radio and tv and not ask yourself whether or not it was Fake News.
Ah Walter.. His sign off "That's the way it is" And yes you believed him.

Locally (To me at the time Hugh Mortimer (Channel 3 Kalamazoo, MI) Same school as Walter.

Just the facts. No editorializing (unless you were the editor or station manager) Anchors just gave news.

But even then... Some stories never made it to press.

Jymbee can correct me if I’m wrong but maybe he was questioning if you believing what RFK jr was saying was the joke.
