Remembering the Delta Strummers Music Director

Folks have seen me post about the Delta Strummers, our local ukulele band. This was a tough week for the band, as we lost our talented Music Director last weekend. I've put up a memorial page on the Delta Strummers web site.

Thanks Russ. We don't have anyone in the group with the same combination of talents and energy, but a couple of folks have stepped forward to lead our weekly practices.

Aye thanks Jackie, we were friends since long before the Delta Strummers. I told his wife 30 years ago "Ernie has more musical talent in his big toe than I'll accumulate in a lifetime".

Being from Glasgow and coming to the U.S. at the age of 10, he'd occasionally revert to one of his Dad's incomrehensible sayings from the homeland. He always answered the phone to me with "hi there laddie".
