Repairing aluminum siding

A recent inspection revealed a seam separation of the exterior aluminum siding. Although a piece of Externabond tape might be a quick resolution, I'd rather a more permanent repair. It seems that Gorilla glue can be a good product for this application.

But before I jump in the deep end, I'm wondering what the collective experience of this group has to say.

I would remove the affected pieces and reinstall properly.  There are a number of videos on Youtube to show you how.
 
After reviewing a number of YT videos, I returned to the affected spot.
As I started poking around, the seam was easy enough to push back into place.
Since the spot is almost centered over the slide. Im hoping this area hasn't been sagging
