Replacing ceiling

Looking for Luan ceiling panels for a reasonable price or alternate affordable suggestions

Go to the flooring section of Home Depot and buy the thin sub floor stuff they lay down before flooring. It's about $5 a sheet and looks good painted.

I replaced wallpanelling with this during my reno. The whole forward wall with the window in the photo is new.

what are you going to do with the bare Luan? I'm re-doing the bedroom ceiling using Luan panels with padding and then vinyl over
