Replacing Jensen Dash Radio in Winnebago Adventurer: Installer Options & Cost Insights

Our Dash radio unit with Cameras on our 2020 Winnebago Adventurer died with an ear piercing scream. Looking for a replacement installer, I found Sound Decisions in Crystal River Florida to install the Sony 9500 unit that is compatible. Wow, dropped the moho off at 10 am, 3 hours later they were done! $900 less than Winnie dealer quote. We got a great tutorial of the radio and a "guy" to call if we have any questions. Service like you would love to get all the time! I wanted to pass this on for anyone who may need similar work done while in Florida. B

Crutchfield is another possible place to get vehicle radios- I was pleased with their service when I got a home AV unit: https://www.crutchfield.com/

Yes Crutchfield is a good source, and they do carry the Sony units. Too many connections and options on the rear of this unit for me to DIY, though some have done it and posted videos of how to. I was happy to pay roughly $500 labor to have it installed with a warrantee.

I had my Jensen head unit replaced in March of last year. I checked a couple of local auto stereo systems, auto-starts, and the like to get an idea of what kind of unit was available that had inputs for three cameras, including side and rear views. A place where I had an auto-start installed for my wife's car called me with a Kenwood unit, a very good name, that would do the trick. I checked it out online, and the price they quoted, $349.99, was pretty much what I saw online, so I called back and ordered it. Well, my $350 job and maybe an hour, hour and a half job that should have been around $500-$600 total, landed up costing me $1100. I didn't need the Kenwood with three camera inputs because they ordered a 3-to-1 switching adapter also for $250 more, plus three hours of labor and tax.

I don't get ripped off often, but man, I got taken on that job.
