Reverse polarity on surge protector?

Moving to a different site is a much wiser choice. As one who made a living in electrical service for 40 years, no way would I do that.

What if the entire RV park is wired reversed? Or is it always just one or two sites?

Anyway, perhaps you can explain where the safety issue is by righting a wrong with a special adapter to make sure the RV sees it all correctly. I just don't see any issue with doing such.

I think that I recall no more than 3 or 4 times that I have run into that and I have been checking the outlet before connecting since the 1970's.

So what did you do? What if the RV park is full and that is all you have to use?

how often do you run into that problem that it is worth making a good adapter and then carrying it around with you?

A reversed 30 amp adapter isn't something that will take up much room.

While I didn’t do a lot of camping in my first go round years ago I always carried the LED outlet tester Gary referenced to test polarity once I was plugged in. Quick and easy.

If you use the tester with a 30-15 amp adapter you can test the outlet before you plug the RV into it.
