I haven't seen much in the way of automating things in RVs, I suppose I'm lazier than most people.
My recent project was for a Pleasure-Way Plateau TS with a rear, motorized jackknife couch/bed. My wife is not too agile, and I'm pretty lazy, so getting up to use the switch to adjust the bed got old immediately, especially with "a little more, no go back a little...".
I removed the microwave oven, installed a 50 amp reversing motor control relay controlled by an RF DPDT switch, wired in parallel with the existing switch. My wife can now control the bed/couch while without getting up or me getting up. The relay needed to be only 20 amps, but the vendor had 10 or 50, and I was tired of looking for alternatives. I used the same RF switch in our Travato to control the generator while driving.
