Drove this route on a Saturday morning. We did not come into Pensacola itself on I-10, but dropped down to US-98 before entering Florida.

I found the the drive nicely pleasant. There was one long-ish construction area, but they kept the roadway at 2 lanes, so no real issues.

I can only hope that the rest of our trip is this nice.

We ran I-10 from Jacksonville to East Texas last week. I-10 was pretty nice run until we got near Pensacola. It started stiffening up and by the time we got into Alabama it was closing in on rush hour. Getting through Mobile was a challenge. We took I-12 from Slidell to visit friends in Mandeville, then on to Beaumont, where we headed up 287 to Crocket. The construct zones in LA were managed very well, and we made it through with little delay.
Only delay was getting across the causeway and through the Tunnel in Mobile. I did not anticipate that much traffic heading into Mobile. I'll be looking for ways to get around Pensacola and Mobile, next time.
