We opted to take a slightly longer route to stay on Interstate and US roads rather than state roads
I-10 east of Pensacola was very nice. Some construction in areas, but overall a good, fast route.
US-431 north was a dream to drive on, especially going past the stately old mansions on the north side of Dothan. 4 lanes almost all entire route.
I highly recommend this route - very enjoyable!
