Hi I?m new to the rv forum and looking for some ideas and advice. We?re going to take an 11 day road trip in July. We?re from Pennsylvania near the Delaware border. We?re not sure if we should head south, north or west. We?ve had our travel trailer for about five years and usually do weekends at jersey or Maryland shore points. Looking for a new adventure. We love the beach, hiking and history. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Lisa

Hi Lisa, welcome to the forum!
A lot of this depends on what you've already done if you're looking for something new. Have you been to D.C.? It's a reasonable distance and soooo much to do with museums, monuments, and sightseeing. You could easily spend a week there taking in all the history and learning new things.
If you've already done DC,
The Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia is another great place to go. I very highly recommend staying at Sherando Lake. There's lots of hiking, Shenandoah National Park is right there and the views from the mountain tops is gorgeous.

Have you been to Williamsburg or Jamestown? They're fascinating places where you can spend a couple of days (or maybe longer) and not see it all.

I'd be headed north in July, not south. In fact, that's exactly what we're doing - southern Maine for a couple of weeks in July.
