Hi guys, We are planning a spring trip up to the panhandle in late March /early April 2013. Our favorite park Topsail is booked solid and Henderson beach is not what we need as we will be bringing our 22'Center console along to do a little fishing and cruising . Ironically or maybe just no reason Rocky Bayou State Park has lots of vacancy  across the date range we wish to stay....heck i can even get side by side sites and park the boat /trailer and tow vehicle on... Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the conditions at Rocky Bayou??? Why are so many sites available here  and not at TopSail Preserve...?  Any feedback is greatly appreciated

You may be crisscrossing some of the spring break traffic at those times. The Panhandle does weird things around those times, depending on the weather, as far as accommodations go.  A bayou park is not going to pull like the beach parks will.
