What do I need to do to move Rolling Stock to a new PC? Presumably I can just re-install the software, but what about all my data records? Is there a way to export the data and then import it to the new PC?

In case someone hasn't seen it, Rolling Stock is a great software package that keeps track of all your vehicle management, travel and living details, and more. Click here for more info, screen shots, etc. Rumor has it that the author offers a special discount to RV Forum members.

Rolling Stock has a Backup/Restore Data menu item on the File menu.  To move Rolling Stock to a new computer, backup the data on the old computer, install RS on the new computer, register it, then restore the data to the new computer.  The backup file will usually fit on one diskette if you don't have a network or USB flash drive to use to copy the file.

We use Rolling Stock and it is a cool program.  Keeps track of anything you would want regarding your rolling stock plus other costs.

Thanks Ned. Appreciate it. I need to get busy before we leave for Moab  :)
