This past September, with the first rains, I discovered that the right side of my 5th wheel was leaking. I bought some wide sticky tape designed for repairing roofs and covered the seam. It worked, although it does not look like I did a good job. I want to spend a weekend removing the tape, removing the original caulking, inserting new caulking and THEN putting tape over that, for extra protection. I also want to paint the roof with the white reflective/sealer paint (supposed to keep the interior cooler). Should I paint the tin roof first and then put the tape down, or put the tape down and then paint over the tape?

If the tape you put on is Eternabond tape, good luck removing it. Please let us know how you make out
I too would put the tape down first then paint the roof
