Route help Cincinatti to Nashville

SO I do not use interstates unless forced so my plan is to go from Cincinnati to Nashville but Avoid the interstate.
Routing help appreciated looking for a scenic route to the Natchez Trace.
No campground info unless really special. We travel each day as far as we wish and do not want to have to make a certain number of miles.
Looking for good non chain food, maybe someplace to dance, interesting stops etc
Oh yes I plan to cross the Ohio river on the Brown - Augusta ferry

Not familiar with the area to the north of Frankfort, KY but from there US127 to Russell Springs, get on Cumberland Parkway to Glasgow, exit 14 to 31-E.  We haven't travelled the portion of 31-E from Bransford, TN into Nashville lately (we take 231 into Lebanon and go around Nashville). 

The Lighthouse Restaurant has excellent food.  It would be between Russell Springs and Glasgow.

Thank you I Like the 2 restaurants;
Anything interesting is okay with me my wife likes book stores, gift shops, country stores you know girly things.
IN Scotsville  I see that there is a Habegger's Amish Market any insight into that?

The Habeggers Amish Market is what I call "modern" -- they have a lot of things but use electricity.  There is a "real" Amish store nearby that we like go to.  After visiting Habeggers Amish market continue on Perrytown Road to the next right which is Shores Road.  I'm not sure the name of the store but it will be on Shores Road on the left. 

My favorite place for catfish is in Scottsville - Harper's.  Definitely not a fancy place, seat yourself, get your own slaw.  Baked potatoes are huge -- we will get an extra salad bowl when we get our slaw to free up some room on our plates.

In Glasgow there is a nice place with very nice displays of history of the area
